Day 1: Arrival + Walking Tour + Backpacker Street
Welcome to Ho Chi Minh city (HCMC). A capital with nearly 9 million people, HCMC is a bubbling pot of energy, excitement and hidden gems.
Meet the gang and head out to Ben Thanh Market. Our in-the-know Trip Leader will take us to all the local spots for pho, spring rolls and egg coffee – trust us, it’s good. Then: head to Bui Vien (aka backpacker street) to experience HCMC’s nightlife. Oh yes, this is the right way to get the Vietnam party started.

Day 2: Cu Chi Tunnels + Fire AK47 + Skybar
Pull out your history hat – we’re off to visit the Cu Chi Tunnels. Surrounded by jungle that was once a stronghold of the Viet Cong, take a guided tour of the area and learn all about how this underground network was used by guerilla fighters during the Vietnam War. The most adrenaline pumping experience at the tunnels is the option to fire real AK-47s/M16s in the shooting range.
Later tonight, gather your squad and head to one of the highest rooftop bars and enjoy the panoramic views of this city in all its glory.

Day 3: Hoi An Old Town + Marble Mountains
After a zippy flight north & a short coastal drive we find ourselves in Hoi An - a canal town overflowing with beauty and ancient history. We’ll stop by the iconic Marble mountains before checking into our hotel.
Later, head out with the squad to explore the lantern-filled magic of Hoi An Old Town and tuck into a bowl of Cao lau (a local specialty) along the river.

Day 4: Ba Na hills + Cable Cars + Golden Hand Bridge
Today we’ll visit the Ba Na Hills - a mountaintop resort complex that looks like a mediaeval castle. Take a ride on one of the longest cable cars in the world, enjoy the panoramic views from the Insta famous Golden Hand Bridge and explore the mini French village built on the mountaintop.
In the evening, head to Hoi An’s buzzing night market. Make sure you wear your fat pants because with Banh Mi, rose shaped dumplings and a whole lot of draught beers, you might need some extra space :p

Day 5: Basket Boat Ride + An Bang Beach
This morning you’ll have time to explore, go shopping or perhaps visit a local tailor to get a custom suit or dress made (a popular thing to do here). Later, we’re going crab fishing in traditional bamboo basket boats which are absolutely wild! How? You’ll know when you get there.
The evening is yours to explore Hoi An however you like, but we suggest a stroll along the canals, or along Bang Beach (make of the name what you will).

Day 6: Old Quarter + Train Street
Snag a window seat and wave goodbye to Hoi An – we’re setting the flight path for Hanoi. With an epic fusion of French, Chinese & Vietnamese influence, you'll be nothing short of ecstatic as we check-in to our Hanoi hotel, right in the middle of the bustling Old Quarter.
We’ll explore the Old Quarter walking through narrow streets filled with iconic monuments, food markets and souvenir shops. We’ll also visit the infamous train market, where a train runs through a busy narrow market street!

Day 7: Halong Bay Cruise + Caving + Kayaking
Halong Bay: World Heritage Site. The jewel in Vietnam’s crown. One of the ‘New 7 Wonders of Nature’. Whichever way you look at it, Halong Bay is pretty damn special. So, today we’re gonna do it properly with a junk boat day cruise. Start with a lunch on board and spend the day swimming in glittering turquoise water, exploring the ancient caves and kayaking between the limestone islands.
We’ll get back to Hanoi for our last night of the trip. Let’s finish the trip off in style with a massive party at the beer street!

Day 8: Goodbyes
Enjoy one final breakfast with the squad this morning before the trip wraps up. On your way back to Hanoi airport you’ll realise that for the rest of your travels, you will automatically compare it to Vietnam. A special country, full of special people, places and now, memories.

Which flights do I need to book?
Arrival:
Book your arrival flight to Ho Chi Minh city (SGN). Any flight that lands before 3 pm on day 1 is suitable for this trip. Hotel Check-in time: 2 PM
Return:
Book your return flight from Hanoi (HAN). Any flight that departs anytime on day 8 is suitable. Hotel Checkout time: 12 PM
